It is being reported that an escalator at Penn Station suddenly stopped last month sending passengers into the air and injuring three individuals - one man and two women - who were taken to Bellevue Hospital. According to reports, the escalator leading into the station from West 34th Street and Seventh Avenue abruptly came to a stop at approximately 1 p.m. Witnesses reported people were falling on top of one another, screaming, and in a general panic. Fortunately, many other individuals on the escalator at the time of the
accident were uninjured. No cause for the incident was reported although, undoubtedly, an investigation is under way.
